If you’ve lost your iPhone or it’s been stolen, there are a few things you can do to try and recover it. First, if you have Find My iPhone enabled on your device, you can use the Find My iPhone app or website to locate your device and remotely erase its contents.
If you don’t have Find My iPhone enabled or can’t find your device, you can put it in Lost Mode. This will lock your device with a passcode and display a message on the Lock screen telling whoever finds it how to get in touch with you. You can also choose to play a sound on your device to help you locate it.
How to override lost mode on iphone
If you find your iPhone after you’ve put it in Lost Mode, you can override the mode and get back into your device. Just enter the passcode that you set when you put it into Lost Mode. If you can’t remember the passcode, you’ll need to erase your device and start from scratch.
If your iPhone is stolen, you should also contact your local law enforcement and file a police report. Be sure to include the serial number of your device in the report. If you’ve lost your iPhone or it’s been stolen, there are a few things you can do to try and recover it:
Install the Find My iPhone app on your phone and create an iCloud account
Turn on Find My iPhone in the iCloud settings on your device. If you lose your device, go to icloud.com/find or use the Find My iPhone app to track its location. If you see the device on a map, you can have it play a sound to help you locate it. If the device is nearby, you can also choose to have it vibrate.
