AirDrop is a quick and easy way to share photos and other files with other Apple devices. When you use AirDrop, your device creates a private Wi-Fi network that automatically discovers nearby supported devices. Once the connection is made, you can start sharing files. But what happens to those files after they’re sent.
Where do airdrop photos go on iphone
When you use AirDrop to share photos, they go to the recipient’s Photos app. The same is true for videos, contacts, and other files that can be shared using AirDrop. So if you want to keep a copy of what you’ve shared, make sure to save it to your own device as well.
How to participate in an airdrop
To use AirDrop, you need an iPhone 5 or later, a fourth-generation iPad or later, an iPad mini, or a fifth-generation iPod touch. You also need to be running iOS 7 or later on your device.
When you’re using AirDrop, you’ll see one of three options at the bottom of the share sheet: Off, Contacts Only, or Everyone. If you choose Off, AirDrop is turned off and no one will be able to see your device. If you choose Contacts Only, only people in your contacts list will be able to see your device. If you choose Everyone, any nearby Apple device running AirDrop will be able to see your device.
To share a photo or other file using AirDrop, simply tap the Share button and then select the recipient from the list of available devices. Once the connection is made, the file will be sent to the other device.
How to turn off AirDrop
If you want to turn off AirDrop, simply tap the Share button and then select Off. You can also turn off AirDrop by going to Settings > General > AirDrop and tapping the Off button.
The process of airdropping photos
