Delete Contacts On Your Mac In Seconds

Deleting contacts on your Mac can be a tedious and time-consuming process, especially if you have a large number of contacts to delete. However, there is a quick and easy way to delete all your contacts in seconds, using a simple Terminal command.

To delete all your contacts at once, open the Terminal application and type the following command: defaults delete com.apple.AddressBook ABPeople. Pressing Enter will immediately delete all the contacts from your Address Book. If you want to verify the command worked, you can open the Address Book application and check that all your contacts have been deleted. Keep in mind that this command will permanently delete all your contacts, so make sure that you really want to do this before running it. If you just want to delete a few contacts, it would be better to do it manually within the Address Book application.

How to delete contacts on Mac

It’s really easy to delete contacts on your Mac. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Open the Contacts app on your Mac.
2. Select the contact or contacts you want to delete.
3. Press the Delete key on your keyboard, or click the Delete button in the toolbar.
4. Click Delete to confirm.

Open Contacts on your Mac

1. Click the Contacts icon in the Dock or Launchpad, or press Command + Space to open Spotlight and type “Contacts.”
2. If you have multiple accounts set up in Contacts (like iCloud, Exchange, or Google), click the account name in the sidebar that contains the contacts you want to delete.
3. Select the contact or contacts you want to delete, then press Delete on your keyboard, or click the Delete button in the toolbar (it looks like a trash can).
4. Click Delete to confirm. The selected contacts will now be deleted from your Mac.

You can also delete multiple contacts at once by selecting them and pressing Delete, or by clicking the Delete button in the toolbar. If you accidentally delete a contact, you can usually recover it by going to the “Recently Deleted” section of your contacts list and restoring it from there.

Select the contact you want to delete
