The Sims 4 is a life simulation game that allows you to create and control virtual people, called “Sims.” In this game, you can build houses, fulfill careers, and start families. This wikiHow will teach you the basics of playing The Sims 4.
Creating Your First Sim
Before you do anything else in The Sims 4, you’ll need to create a Sim. To do this, click on the “Create a Sim” button at the main menu. Start by choosing your Sim’s gender. You can also choose whether or not to enable custom content and mods. Custom content and mods are created by other players and can change the way your game looks and behaves.
Once you’ve chosen your settings, click “Create a Sim.” You’ll be taken to the Create-a-Sim screen. Here, you can change your Sim’s appearance, including their hairstyle, facial features, and body type. You can also give them a name and choose their voice. When you’re done creating your Sim, click “Done.”
Adding Sims to Your Household
Once you’ve created your first Sim, you’ll need to add them to a household. To do this, click on the “Households” button at the main menu.
Click on the “Create Household” button. You’ll be prompted to name your household and choose an icon. You can also choose to add more than one Sim to your household.
When you’re done, click “Create Household.” Your Sim will now be added to a household. You can add additional Sims to this household by clicking on the “Add a Sim” button.
Building Your Sim’s Home
Once you’ve added your Sim to a household, you’ll need to give them a place to live. To do this, click on the “Build” button at the main menu. You’ll be taken to the build screen. Here, you can choose from a variety of pre-made homes or build your own.
If you want to build your own home, click on the “Create a House” button. You’ll be prompted to choose a lot type. You can choose from a residential lot or an empty lot. Once you’ve chosen a lot type, you’ll be taken to the build screen. Here, you can build your Sim’s home from scratch.
When you’re done, click on the “Save” button. Your Sim’s home will now be saved. You can access it at any time by clicking on the “Load Household” button.
Playing With Your Sims
Once you’ve created a Sim and built them a home, you’re ready to start playing. To do this, click on the “Play” button at the main menu. You’ll be taken to your Sim’s household. Here, you can interact with your Sim and direct their actions.
To get started, click on your Sim and choose an action from the menu that appears. You can also click on objects in the environment to interact with them. For example, you can click on a chair to sit in it, or click on a door to open it. When you’re done playing with your Sim, click on the “Save” button. Your Sim’s progress will be saved and you can quit the game.
