Let Snapchat see what you’re seeing

Cynthia Whitty 3 min read

There’s no denying that Snapchat is one of the most popular social media platforms out there. And while it may seem like a lot of people are just using it to send disappearing photos and videos, there’s actually a lot more to Snapchat than that.

With Snapchat, you can share your location with your friends, and even see what they’re seeing in real time. So if you want to get the most out of Snapchat, make sure to take advantage of these features!

What is Snapchat and how does it work

Snapchat is a multimedia messaging app used to send photos, videos, and text messages. The app allows users to add filters, lenses, and other effects to their photos and videos. Snapchat also offers a feature called “Stories” which allows users to post Photos and videos that expire after 24 hours. Snapchat was created by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown while they were students at Stanford University. The app was originally released in 2011. As of May 2019, Snapchat has installed over 190 million times on Android devices.

How does Snapchat work? When you first open the app, you are prompted to create an account. You can do this by entering your email address or phone number. Once you have created an account, you can add friends by their username or from your address book. To take a photo or video, tap the camera icon in the center of the screen. Then tap the record button to take a video or tap the shutter button to take a photo. To add filters or effects, swipe left or right on the screen. To view yourSnapchat Story, tap the story icon at the bottom of the screen. Tap on a friend’s story to view it. Stories expire after 24 hours.

how to allow camera on snapchat

Snapchat is a popular social media app that allows users to share photos and videos with friends. One of the app’s unique features is that it automatically deletes photos and videos after they have been viewed. However, there are some cases where you may want to save a photo or video. For example, you may want to save a video you received from a friend. To do this, you will need to allow the Snapchat app to access your camera. Here’s how:

  • Open the Snapchat app and tap on the settings gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Scroll down and tap on “Manage Preferences.”
  • Tap on “Permissions.”
  • Tap on “Camera.”
  • Toggle the switch next to “Allow Snapchat to use my camera” to the ON position.

Now, when you receive a photo or video that you want to save, simply tap on the download icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. The photo or video will be saved to your camera roll.

How to share your snap with others

After you have taken a photo or video, you can share it with your friends by tapping on the “send” icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. You can also add a message to your snap before sending it. To do this, tap on the “T” icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, type your message and tap on the “send” icon.

You can also share your snap with a specific friend by tapping on their name in the “send” screen. This will bring up a list of your friends. Simply select the friend you want to send your snap to and tap on the “send” icon.

How to view your friends’ snaps

To view your friends’ snaps, tap on the “friends” icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen. This will bring up a list of your friends. Tap on a friend’s name to view their snap. If you have any unread snaps, you will see a yellow dot next to their name.
